  • Prior to co-founding Rosa, Dr. Beaver worked with a global pharmaceutical firm to structure an open-source drug development group, focussing on both economic and organisational issues.
  • Cofounder and former Managing Director of the consulting practice at Pharsight Corporation, the biopharmaceutical industry’s first combined drug-disease modelling/strategic analysis practice.
  • Cofounder and leader of the Pope Street Group, a strategic management consultancy and venture incubator.
  • Former Associate at Strategic Decisions Group, a global management consultancy.
  • PhD, Stanford; BA, Iowa State University/Simpson College.

Ron brings to Avicenna his expertise in computer aided modelling in drug development.

Dr. William Prince, PhD, MB, ChB, FFPM

Chief Development Officer, Surfacelogix Inc., Brighton, USA

  • Over 20 years of pharmaceutical R&D experience
  • Prior to joining Surface Logix, Dr. Prince was Vice President of Clinical Pharmacology and Discovery Medicine at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and led a department of over 500 professionals worldwide.
  • Started his career in the Pharmaceutical Industry with Hoffman La Roche in the United Kingdom then moved to Beecham to lead one of their five clinical pharmacology units.
  • Joined Glaxo Wellcome in the UK as International Director of Clinical Pharmacology.
  • Prior to his career in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Dr. Prince spent over 10 years at Cambridge University conducting academic research investigating the roles of calcium and cyclic AMP in controlling cell function.
  • He has led the early clinical development and helped the successful regulatory submissions for several drugs, which are now approved and benefiting patients around the world.
  • Received his medical degree (MB ChB), PhD (pharmacology) and MA (natural science) from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Prince brings to Avicenna his experience in managing drug development leading to regulatory submissions and managing development teams in large multinational organization.
