Avicenna Pharma Development FZ-LLC (“Avicenna”) is a Free-Zone Limited Liability Company that was founded in Dubai Healthcare City in March 2007.  Avicenna Pharma is a member of the family of companies established by Pharma Development Holding GmbH (PDH), a privately owned company based in Neuss (near Düsseldorf), Germany that “aims to expedite the development of new and better medicines through interdisciplinary collaboration of professionals from Discovery Science, Clinical Medicine, and Healthcare Management”.

Avicenna is a bio-pharmaceutical company that funds the development of promising compounds from the discovery or pre-clinical stage of development to clinical proof-of-concept (i.e. the first demonstration of the efficacy in human patients)

The Management Team of Avicenna comes with a background of successful product development in various fields, a large part of it in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. It is ably supported by the PDH network that provides its expertise and access from early to late stage drug development.
